Miss Clement

The magnificent Major
Damocles Bogdanski, hero of the late American wars, is pictured here in
his splendid silver-trimmed uniform complete with paste- trimmed patch.
Close by his side is his lady, Miss Clémente, sister of the dashing Sir
Barlow Clémente.
As one of the evening's sparking couples, once again we must apologize for the dearth of images of this fine match. This is especially tragic due to the limited display of Miss Clémente's lovely wine silk gown. Like Sir Barlow Clémente, both Miss Clémente and her beau are making their way from a successful evening at cards of which the good Major is very fond. Although formerly a seafarer of some repute, it is whispered that he lost one of his own ships in one particularly ill-fated night at the cards. This act prompted his good uncle, Sir Lucas, to purchase him a commission and send him off to the wars where Major Bogdanski has earned himself fame, glory and renown! |
