Our Fearless Leader

Brigadier Watt

While the famous Brigadier Gavin Watt and his lovely wife, Mrs. Watt, walk elegantly down rue Sainte Louis, they are followed closely by the good General's youngest daughter, who is being courted by the dashing Captain Cameron of the 34th regiment.

In his legendary green provincial coat, Brigadier Watt is a hardened partisan veteran of the American wars. His zeal to the King and his feats on campaign as Lieutenant Colonel of the King's Royal Yorkers have earned him the command of the Northern Brigade. Under his careful direction, this Brigade has earned a reputation for swiftness, decisiveness and unparalleled courage and bravery in the face of fire. Indeed, he invokes passionate loyalty from his men who revere him as a living God and would follow him into the very jaws of death. (Although it is said they would settle for victory!)

Aside from the fine coat, his red double-breasted waistcoat of superfine, trimmed in gold lace and black silk is the envy of many a man. As well, his hat trimmed in silk and plume contributes to his striking martial air. Of course, as befits a soldier of the Brigadier's stature, a fine original 18th century sword is a constant reminder of his prowess both on and off the field.

His wife, the former Miss Robinson of Hog's Hollow, wears a nightgown of the most charming chinoiserie complete with the most ravishing oriental scenes and pagodas, faced in claret velvet setting off to advantage a golden silk damask stomacher.
